By car

Travelling around Vicenza is quite simple except in the city centre pedestrian areas. However there are numerous car parks from which it is possible to reach the various zones of interest. You should know that in the parking spaces within yellow lines, only residents are allowed to park. In those within blue lines you may park but there is a system of payment. In the historic centre there are variuos guarded parks (see list).
Besides these, there are other paying car parks, which are not guarded: in V.le Eretenio, Piazza Matteotti, P.le Bologna, P.le Giusti e P.zza del Mutilato.
Whoever goes to the Stadium can find a convenient car park in the near vicinity.

By taxi

Vicenza is also well served by a private taxi network.
For those arriving by train, there is one of the main taxi meeting point in ront of the train station.
In addition, it is also possible using a private taxi service just calling "Radio Taxi".

By bus

For the city of Vicenza, the Council runs the public transport system (AIM). Many buses cover the whole municipal territory and the surrounding hinterland.The Centrobus service guaratees connections from the car parks to the historical centre of Vicenza.

By coach

To reach various localities across the province, there is an extensive service guaranteed by FTV (FerroTramvieVicentine) ensuring all main connections. The reference point for this service is the Coach Station, located right next to the Railway Station.

By bike

Getting around Vicenza by bicycle is perhaps the best way to appreciate its beauties. For this purpose, the Council has practical rental service. All you need to do is show an identity card and you can hire a bicycle for an hour or more or even for the whole day, and for up to three consecutive days (renewable).
